Cannes: 'Good Kids' Cast to Include Zoey Deutch!

Good Kids, the teen coming-of-age comedy on which writer Chris McCoy will make his directorial debut, has rounded up a cast that includes Nicholas Braun (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Zoey Deutch (Beautiful Creatures), Craig Roberts (Neighbors) and Israel Broussard (The Bling Ring).

Jane Levy is out of coming-of-age comedy “Good Kids,” and according to Deadline“Vampire Academy” star Zoey Deutch is in in her place. Nicholas Braun, who signed on to star alongside Levy last summer, is still in, and the film has also added Craig Roberts and Israel Broussad to round out the lead quartet of characters.
As the title suggests, the film will follow four overachieving Cape Cod high school graduates who realize that they’ve missed out on a lot of crucial teenage benchmarks by being the “good kids” for so long, so the summer before college, they decide to completely reinvent themselves and have a hell of a good time. With these four comedically gifted rising stars leading the way, we can just imagine the sorts of hijinks “Good Kids” has in mind. Chris McCoy wrote the script and will be making his directorial debut on the project.
Deutch played the lead role of Rose Hathaway in “Vampire Academy,” which seemed to lose its potential for launching a franchise when box office numbers didn’t exactly add up. She since landed a female lead in Gregg Allman biopic “Midnight Rider,” but that’s been mired in controversy following the death of a camera assistant on set. Roberts broke out on Richard Ayoade’s “Subarmine,” while Broussard did it via Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring.”
